Buying American made clothing boosts the economy and keeps American citizens employed. Retailers cut more jobs every day due to lower sales of inferior products. Importing inferior products may offer higher profit margins, but does little to help the American economy, since these products are made in foreign countries. American made products including American made clothing helps to keep US citizens employed and gives the economy the added boost it needs.

In order for businesses to survive and the economy to prosper, American made products should be manufactured on American soil with domestic workers. Everything in the news lately is the number of jobs being lost. This company is downsizing and laying people off and this company shut their doors altogether. The future of American children depends on a healthy economy and less dependence on foreign made products. With the world’s outlook on the almighty dollar today it is no wonder the economy if failing. Everything is about making as much money as possible in the cheapest way available.

American made clothing is no exception. A ‘made in America’ label may not really reveal the production source of the product and little, if any, of the clothing may have been made here. It may have been outside the United States except for a few decorations, packaging or other minor detail. This is why you must do a little investigating to find out if American made products are totally made in America. Quality and workmanship are the responsibility of American companies, but few may actually uphold any standards. Do you think they are willing to reveal they are cheaply made foreign products, if they don’t have to?

There are many people who are refusing to buy products made in other countries because they feel that American made clothing is the answer. They feel strongly that we should take care of our own economy before we support foreign countries. If we want to restore America to the greatness it once knew, this may be the way to do so. It seems that importing more than we export has become more prevalent.American made products are being made less and less as time goes by and are being made in cheap imitations from foreign countries.

American made clothing is one of the ways we can utilize our natural resources and support an environmentally safe country while doing it. With a focus on using all natural products today, American made clothing is one of the ways they can make a difference in the use of natural resources. Man-made resources are dwindling and the environment is suffering so companies have been formed to use natural resources in the making of products. Instead of using materials imported from other countries, American companies are trying to find new ways to recycle or utilize America’s natural resources.

American made products are still made by cooperatives and are often comprised of low-income people trying to survive in today’s economy. The cooperatives have often been formed by low-income people in an effort to support themselves and their families. They use natural resources found in the U.S. and produce American made clothing in this country. When the cooperatives are formed the people have a say in the way things are done – working conditions, wages, benefits and a good work environment. All American companies should consider this business model. We should slow down on importing and concentrate on making American made products from the resources we have readily available.

It’s amazing to think of the American made products that could be manufactured in America, if you stop and look around. The economy needs the boost that American made clothing and other American made products can provide besides utilizing our natural resources in an environmentally safe way.

Choosing American made clothing or products is something every American should participate in to help our ailing economy. If all consumers did this, the American made purchases and jobs would start to turn the economy around and make it clear of our intentions to support America, instead of foreign economies. If you are one of the people who are concerned with the economy and the way the country is suffering today, the best choice you can make is to support America. How do you do this? If every American stood steadfast in this belief, all of our clothing and products would be American made clothing or American made products instead.
